Every in-home newborn session is unique for me. Each time you ask me to document your families at home, that new work leaves me feeling inspired. And for that, I have to give you all a big hug and a thank you!
As an artist in any medium, you want your work to continue to inspire you to make something meaningful. So thank you to my wonderful clients for sharing in a vision we create together!
I always tell the mamas I work with, the planning will be worth it! What to wear, how to style your home, what should baby wear, what things do you already have for the session and what do you still need…all of that planning is worth it.

Dreamy images came out of this session.
All the feelings of those early days with a three year old at home. Basically, that love haze with a side of sheer exhaustion. You know, the usual. 🙂 Daddy home on leave from his deployment. Of course a strong focus on those motherhood moments. Which will forever and always be my favorite thing to photograph. And such a sweet, sweet baby. Whole heartedly loved by her family.
Absolutely stunning this little one with her mama.
You’ll see how much I love photographing motherhood in each session. We always take time especially for this and I promise it’s so worth it. Â It always brings me the most inspiration and because of that I make images like these. Ahh, motherhood. An oldie but one of my favorite motherhood session right here.
Sibling interactions are my favorite to observe!
Look at these girls together, already bonding.
Siblings during the session.
I love the unpredictable nature of siblings during these shoots. lol Make no mistake, we follow their lead. And I can tell you, every single parent has wanted their three year old to listen to my instructions to the letter. But I’ve found, it works best, if we simply give them things to do and go from there.
Things like: Jump on the bed, find sister’s toes and count them, snuggle gently on baby, and any distraction we can give is great. Reading books, dancing, playing with their favorite toys, break time for snacks. We follow their lead with what they choose and let go of any expectations. It always works out!
Real, beautiful moments at home together. Thank you for spending some time here. You might also enjoy learning more about in-home newborn sessions here and why they so inspiring for me…Â https://www.meysenburgphotography.com/photographing-in-home-newborn-sessions/
