This motherhood session, at home with her five kids, stole my heart.
Lisa is a strong, loving, and compassionate mama who works part of the week and finds herself in their “Chaotic Beautiful Mess”, the other parts of the week.
These are her motherhood moments at home with her children.
I’m sharing the notes she made to each of her kiddos throughout the post.
“Emily, my funny girl. You make me laugh. You are light, and also hot tempered. You make the funniest jokes and you also know how to hit where it hurts. This is a gift if you use it gently. Being able to see people’s soft spots is wonderful if you use it for good. Learn to control and bring balance to your sensitive side and your joyful boisterous one. You make mothering fun. I always know I can get a hug and a kiss and a giggle. I love it. Every little thing you do is magic to me.”
“Eliot, you make me beam with pride. How did I ever become the mother of such amazing talent and beauty. Everything you do, you strive for excellence and succeed. Don’t ever stop trying your hardest. Your hard work will be rewarded. I love you and feel blessed beyond measure to be your mum.”
“Oliver, my first baby. You are amazing. Believe in yourself and Always aim for the stars. I love you so much. I think of you all day and wonder how and what you might be doing. Don’t ever forget how amazing and special you are. If you do, come to me and I will remind you. I love you my beautiful boy. ”
“Auguste, my miracle. My wave. The boy I loved even when I felt he was lost. You renewed my faith. Renewed my hope. Taught me more about myself than I ever could have known and prepared me for the an entire new journey my life decided to take. I don’t think I will ever be able to look at you without awe and wonder. The boy who lived. You have brought hope to so many, even before you were born. What amazing things you will do. You look like an angel and you feel like my angel on earth. I love you my prince.”
“Oak- you are my gift. You were the calm between the storms. Life hurdles all sorts of things your way but God decided to throw me the sweetest ray of sunshine. Your smile. Your cuddles. your smell. It brings me so much peace and happiness. I can’t imagine life without my fifth wheel. I love you so.”
Motherhood in all it’s beauty, in all it’s chaos, and joy. Let us not forget how much we loved.
